United Way and the Community Care Center respond with Storm Match.
“Storm Match” helps those folks whose homes and lives are affected by the tornado. Donations will be accepted at local Merrill businesses and St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store. Donations may also be mailed to United Way Storm Match, P O Box 813, Merrill, WI 54452. Donations given to this disaster fund will be matched up to $10,000 from United Way’s Emergency Service Fund. Businesses can call the United Way Director at 715-536-2016 to participate in Storm Match.
The money will support short-term emergency assistance, including laundry needs, emergency short-term lodging, clothing and household goods, food, and other emergency needs related to the tornado. To get specific information, call the following United Way funded programs:

Additional long-term support for storm victims can be accessed by calling the Chamber of Commerce at 715-536-9474. They are able to assist families with long-term unmet needs when processing insurance and property damage. The Chamber is collaborating with Lincoln County and State Emergency government agencies.
